Trekking from Camerlata to San Fermo
The route starts in Camerlata, precisely in Via Santa Brigida (although it is possible to start from San Fermo and walk backwards).
From Camerlata, continue along the cobbled road that leads to Parco delle Rimembranze, with its war memorial.
From the monument, follow the signs leading to the Baradello Castle, built by order of Barbarossa. Today it is the symbol of the city of Como and the Spina Verde Regional Park. Once at the Tower, there is the possibility of a short break in the nearby green area equipped with benches.
From the Tower, follow the path to Respaù and Pianvalle, where there are numerous archaeological excavations; at one time in this area during the Iron Age there was the settlement of Comum Oppidum, the centre of the Celts.
From the village of Pianvalle, you can continue directly in the direction of your final destination, San Fermo, or you can make a small diversions to the Cross of Sant’Eutichio: from the little church you can enjoy a wonderful panorama with a breathtaking view of the town and the first basin of Lake Como.
