Tour of San Genesio
Starting from Galbiate, climb up towards Colle Brianza and then continue to Mozzana, following the tarmac road. You can also choose to reach Mozzana by car or by vehicle, starting the route directly in the woods. From the end of the asphalt road at Mozzana, in fact, the path starts out, passing through meadows and steep uphill stretches, leading to Villa Vergano.
From here you descend as far as the provincial road SP58, a necessary step before taking the road to Consonno. The asphalt road through the village leads to the Monte Crocione trail. Although it may seem simple at first, this section of the route becomes more complicated towards the end, when the gradients start to increase and the ground becomes more uneven.
At the crossroads, follow the signs for San Genesio and return to a tarmac road that descends to the hamlet of Scerizza. From here, a path, this time flatter, leads to Giovenzana and then to Cagliano.
Climbing back up, the route then leads to the Ristoro degli Alpini (937m) from where you begin your return journey to Galbiate, following path number 1 until you retrace your steps and follow the road back to the tarmac road that leads to Consonno. Still following path number 1, you take a descent that leads back to Villa Vergano, then to Colle Brianza and finally to Galbiate.
