The Val San Martino historical procession

The Val San Martino Historical Procession takes place annually on January 6th, the feast of the Epiphany, in the village of Calolziocorte

It is a traditional procession with over 300 characters in period costumes that retrace 2000 years of history: from the Roman era, to the Middle Ages up to 900. Religious figures such as Saints, Three Kings and Nativity figures parade through the streets of the village. An innumerable series of “common” characters dressed in impeccable costumes: shepherds and knights, nobles and peasants, rulers and fishermen, Roman consuls and bagpipers.

To accompany the parade band music, folklore exhibitions and exhibitions dedicated to the most beautiful costumes. At the end of the parade is held the sacred historical representation in the Church of the country.
