The journey of Saint Augustine is a journey of pilgrimage.
To be done on foot or by bicycle, it is designed to reach and connect the twenty-five Marian shrines in the Brianza area in its various stages. For centuries the population of these places has been the guardian of a special faith for the Madonna as evidenced by the innumerable buildings and signs of popular devotion such as kiosks and chapels. In addition, St. Augustine of Hippo paused along the road that would have led him to receive baptism in Milan in these territories. Here then is the opportunity to create a religious itinerary named after the Saint. It starts from Monza from the Basilica of Santa Maria delle Grazie and the journey is divided into 15 days of walking for a total of about 352 km.
The pilgrim can obviously adapt the route to his own needs and time availability, in the times and in the ways deemed most appropriate.
