The Basilica San Pietro al Monte is a testimony of Romanesque architecture in which stuccos and frescoes can be admired. The paths leading to the basilica are two: the first part from Pozzo (fraction of Civate) and winds along the path that leads to the mule track following the trail n. 10. The second variant, particularly evocative, develops along the Gold Valley and then joins the mule track that starts from the Gold hamlet. Away from the hustle and bustle of the world, taking this path will give you a day of relaxation. The effort of walking will soon be forgotten and replaced by the wonder you will experience in front of the view that will brighten your eyes. You will be able to relax and recove the energy by having lunch on the large lawn from which you can admire the lakes and Mount Cornizzolo on whose peak you can see the SEC shelter reachable, for those who still had the strength, with another hour about of walking.
