Calolziocorte – Also this year the “Historical Procession” will parade through the streets of Calolziocorte on 6 January, the day of the Epiphany.
This is an initiative organized by the Parish of San Martino Vescovo. Over 300 exhibitors expected between performances, sales banquets and demonstrations of ancient crafts that will bring the center of Calolziocorte to the Middle Ages.
The program of the event will begin at 11 am in the Arci presbyterial Square with the artisans at work to show off what was the field life of the medieval militia. At 11.30 the arrival of the crone and the distribution of delicacies to the children.
It will resume in the afternoon, from 14 always in the square, with folk groups and to follow, at 15, from the bell “will fly” the angel who will carry baby Jesus with him. The parade will then start from the church square along the streets of the town (IV Novembre Street, Corso Dante, Largo Garibaldi, Piazza V. Veneto, via Martiri, via XXIV Maggio). At 4 pm the arrival at the church where the sacred historical representation will take place and new space for folk groups.
