From Sorico to Domaso

A large section of this cycle path was built by wresting space from the waters of Lake Como for cycling. The places are enchanting, among the most beautiful in the Lario area.

The starting point is near Ponte del Passo, which divides the eastern and western sides of Lake Como. Along the banks of the river Mera you proceed as far as its mouth, reaching the port of Gera Lario. From here you follow the San Vincenzo river for a short distance, then descend again to the lake shore and admire the view along the promenade to Domaso.

The whole area is full of tourist attractions, beaches and campsites; in particular, the beach of Domaso is one of the longest on the lake and offers many opportunities for water sports.

The almost zero height difference makes this route suitable for families with children. It should be pointed out, however, that the central part of the trail is situated on a sheer drop to the lake and in some places does not have a guardrail, making it dangerous for children in particular.
