Excursion from Dongo to the Church of San Bernardo
Da Dongo → Chiesa Sant’Eufemia → Chiesa di San Bernardo
The route starts in Piazza Paracchini in Dongo. From here take Via Scalini and then Via Tolomeo Gallio in the direction of the Church of S. Maria in Martinico. Near the church there are signs leading to the Church of S. Eufemia.
From here begins the path, characterised by a low slope, which leads to the well-known Church of S. Eufemia, from which you can enjoy wonderful views of the lake and of Mounts Legnone and Legnoncino.
The trail continues downhill towards the village of Musso; a stretch of the Via degli Ulivi is taken and then, along the way, there is an uphill flight of steps. The path is clearly visible and marked with orange arrows.
Continuing along the path, you will reach Monte Corna. Here you will find numerous signposts, among which you should follow the sign for San Bernardo.
Following the path on the crest, you arrive at the top of Sasso di Musso from where you can admire the beauty of the lake. From here you descend in the direction of the Chiesetta di San Bernardo, the final destination of the excursion. Here you will be enchanted by the splendid panorama.
