Chiesa dei Morti
Chiesa dei morti – This building located in the homonymous valley, within the municipality of Carenno, recalls the times of the Manzoni pest of 1630 which here claimed 115 dead and 360 escaped.
To these deceased the church, also known as the oratory of San Domenico, was probably dedicated. From an architectural point of view it is an extension of a chapel dating back to the fourteenth century and consists of a pronaos, a hall, an apse and a sacristy. Inside the church you can see macabre depictions.
