It is said that the tower, now a national monument, hosted Emperor Frederick I of Swabia, known as Barbarossa, in 1158. The house of ancient peasant origins was completely restored in 2009 following the criteria of bio-architecture using as much wood, stone and natural materials as possible while respecting the pre-existing architectural forms.

Leaving the car in the convenient parking area and crossing the small square of S.Rocco from which you can admire a splendid view of the lake, you arrive at the “Osteria Sali e Tabacchi” and just after the B&B.

The three rooms available to guests, two of which have a double bed and one with two single beds and the possibility of an extra bed, are ideal for holidays or business trips. Sober and away from traffic, each with private bathroom, wooden floors and ceilings that make them warm and hospitable and are equipped with TV and internet connection.

They overlook a discreet and quiet inner courtyard where, under the shelter of the “Tower“, you can enjoy breakfast in summer, and in the evening enjoy the fresh mountain breeze.

The hot water is provided by solar panels and the stone perimeter walls are thermally insulated.
